About
Message
Message from the President
The Japan Shenzhen Economic, Trade and Cultural Promotion Association was founded in Tokyo in September 2018.
The Association is a non-profit organisation with the legal status of an incorporated association. Its membership consists of organisations that promote economic, trade, cultural and other exchange between Shenzhen and Japan, including Japanese companies and organisations and their affiliated cultural and educational institutions, Chinese-funded companies in Japan and their affiliated cultural and educational institutions, overseas Chinese companies in Japan and their affiliated cultural and educational institutions, overseas Chinese organisations in Japan, Chinese-language media in Japan, and universities and research institutions in Japan and China, together with individuals who promote economic, trade, cultural and educational exchange between Shenzhen and Japan.
Our mission is to build platforms for friendly exchange in the economy, trade, science and technology, human resources, culture and education; to promote exchange between Shenzhen and Japanese companies; to help create opportunities for innovative entrepreneurs to launch new ventures; and to foster cultural and educational exchange between Shenzhen and Japan.

A related event held in Tokyo ahead of our founding, attended by about 150 people.
2018.06.08Hosted a networking event for Competition participantsHosted a networking event in Tokyo for about 50 Competition participants and stakeholders.
2018.09.18Inaugural Meeting of the Japan Shenzhen Economic, Trade and Cultural Promotion AssociationAttended by more than 150 guests from overseas Chinese organisations and Japanese political and business circles, with a congratulatory delegation visiting from Shenzhen.
2018.10.23Delegation to Shenzhen and the 2nd Shenzhen–Japan Investment SummitChief Advisor Hiroshi Fujiwara gave the keynote; the delegation also visited Longhua District, Tencent and Huawei.

Partnerships with Shenzhen
We work with relevant Shenzhen municipal bodies to advance exchange between Japan and Shenzhen.
Shenzhen Municipal People's Congress
In November 2024, Pei Lei, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Congress, visited Japan with a delegation and held talks with the Association and other organisations.
Shenzhen Economic and Trade Representative Office in Japan
The Office delivered a guest address at our 2024 Annual Forum and endorsed the 9th Investment Summit in 2025.
Shenzhen "Two Sessions"
In 2025, President Weng and Executive Vice President Wu attended Shenzhen's "Two Sessions" as specially invited overseas guests.
International Shenzhen Associations Conference
We take part in this conference, which brings together Shenzhen-related organisations from around the world, deepening ties with organisations in many countries.

About the Chamber
About the Shenzhen Chamber of Commerce in Japan
The Shenzhen Chamber of Commerce in Japan is a general incorporated association founded in Tokyo in September 2019.
Founded by Chinese and Japanese professionals experienced in Japan–China business matching, the Chamber aims to set a new standard for business exchange between Japan and China, and Shenzhen in particular. In 2020 it partnered with Vector Inc. to launch the PANDA Japan–China business platform.
President Huang Shi also serves as Chairman of the International Economic and Cultural Organization of Japan and President of the Japan-China Belt and Road Promotion Association, promoting Japan–China exchange through both business and culture. Sharing the goal of advancing economic ties between Shenzhen and Japan, the Chamber runs this site jointly with the Japan Shenzhen Economic, Trade and Cultural Promotion Association and co-hosts events with it.
