Huang Shi Solo Exhibition: A Star of Film, Song, Dance and Painting

A solo exhibition by Huang Shi (art name Shangu Daoren), President of the Shenzhen Chamber of Commerce in Japan, entitled "A Star of Film, Song, Dance and Painting", will be held at the Tokyo Kozen Museum of Art in Ginza from Wednesday 11 November to Saturday 12 December 2026. It brings together oil paintings by an artist who has worked across four art forms as an actor, singer, dancer and painter.

About the artist

Based in Japan for many years, Huang Shi holds China's National First-Class Performer title and works as a director, dancer, singer, actor and painter. In 2025 a Japan–China artists' exhibition marking his 35th year in Japan was held at the China Cultural Center in Tokyo, and in July 2026 he exhibited at the Japan–China Soul Resonance 2026 artists' exhibition, continuing his commitment to Japan-China cultural exchange through art. This exhibition presents the oil paintings that have grown out of his many-sided artistic career.
